Bozza - Badinage

Badinage is the shortest of Bozza's solos that are on this list and can serve as an introduction the French style of trumpet playing due to the articulations and character of the piece. Most of the intervals are smaller than a 5th, and the chromaticisms are limited. Parts available for trumpet in Bb or C.

Bozza - Caprice

Caprice requires the French style of articulation, including multiple tonguing. More chromaticisms than are present in Badinage. The second half also contains mixed meter. Parts available for trumpet in Bb or C.

Bozza - Rustiques

Rustiques is an episodic solo that moves through many different characters and techniques. It also contains lyrical melodies and motives that are incorporated throughout. Parts available for trumpet in Bb or C.

Range (Bb trumpet): A below the staff (optional F#) to C above the staff

Brandt - Concertpiece No. 1

Concertpiece No. 1 demands both technical facility and consistency of tone throughout the entire range. Close attention to the articulations is necessary to bring out the underlying rhythms.
