Clarke - From the Shores of the Mighty Pacific

From the Shores of the Mighty Pacific begins with alternation between numerous cornet cadenzas and piano interludes before beginning the rondo form. It requires light tonguing on staccato 16th notes and contains many repetitions of an F major arpeggio spanning from A below the staff to C above the staff.

Clarke - Sounds from the Hudson

Sounds from the Hudson is a waltz in a fast 3/4 meter that has an introduction followed by three main sections. The coda contains a long cadenza with the option for multiple cuts to avoid playing the numerous high Ds. These cuts enable the performer to adapt the solo to their playing ability.

The Bride of the Waves is a polka that contains cadenzas in both the introduction and the coda. It utilizes many scale patterns and arpeggios as well as triple tonguing. Like Sounds from the Hudson, this piece contains optional octave displacements and cuts so it can suit players of varied abilities.

Clarke - The Debutante

This solo contains multiple cadenzas that require agility and flexibility to move smoothly throughout the entire range. It also contains triple tonguing and fast intervals of a 6th. The solo extends to a high C, with options in the cadenzas to expand to D or F.
