Clergue - Sarabande et Rigaudon

Sarabande et Rigaudon contains intervals up to an octave in a lyrical context and smaller intervals with syncopated rhythms in the faster portions. One section provides the opportunity to play in a key signature with six flats while utilizing a mute.

Cools - Solo de Concours

Solo de Concours is a French contest piece with a modest range, only spanning two octaves. This is an excellent solo for developing lyrical playing and diatonic intervals up to a 5th.

Corelli - Sonata VIII

Sonata VIII was originally composed for violin but has been transcribed for trumpet by Bernard Fitzgerald. The four short movements correspond to Baroque dances in the form slow - fast - slow- fast. This solo is an excellent opportunity for the performer to study the Baroque style without needing a piccolo trumpet or Baroque trumpet.

*Daughtrey - Bounce

One of the newest pieces on this list, Bounce was composed in 2015 and blends jazz and modern styles. Bounce contains many chromatic intervals and syncopations and includes two open sections for improvisation.
