Dello Joio - Sonata
Dello Joio's Sonata is a three movement work, with the first movement being in a theme & variations form. The second movement is slow, while the third movement is quick and light. This piece provides ample opportunities to show off both lyrical and technical playing and contains very little rest.

Introduction and Polonaise begins with a fanfare-like opening that presents motives that are developed throughout the piece. It alternates between arpeggios and chromatic licks and contains syncopation near the end.

Donato - Prelude et Allegro
Prelude et Allegro allows the performer to explore both lyrical and technical melodies that do not follow common practice tonality. Syncopations and accents occasionally obscure the meter. Parts available for trumpet in Bb or C.
