Giannini - Concerto

This concerto is comprised of three diverse yet cohesive movements. The first movement alternates between declamatory and flowing sections, while the expressive second movement lends many opportunities for the use of rubato. The final movement is technical throughout, containing primarily arpeggiated sixteenth notes.

*Gillingham - Sonata No. 1 for Trumpet

Sonata No. 1 is both technically and musically demanding yet rewarding. It is almost entirely comprised of fast 16th notes that do not follow typical scale or chord patterns. It also requires excellent stamina and breath support due to the long tones in the second movement and minimal rest throughout the whole piece. Only available for trumpet in C.
