Concertino contains a brief introduction, a lyrical andante movement in 5/4, and a fast finale. All three sections are atonal and require excellent technique and aural skills. Parts available for trumpet in Bb or C.

*Gregson - Concerto

Gregson's Concerto utilizes a motive of a perfect fourth followed by major seventh and thus contains many large interval leaps and uncommon harmonies while maintaining a sense of tonality. It also contains many chromatic licks, flowing lines, and double tonguing. It even contains a single occurrence of a 12-tone row.

*Gregson - Prelude and Capriccio

Prelude and Capriccio is comprised of almost constant sixteenth notes, mostly in stepwise or arpeggiated motion. It frequently changes meter. It also contains a cadenza and a brief muted segment.
