Telemann - Concerto in G Major

Concerto in G Major was written for viola. 

it has four movements in a slow-fast-slow-fast form. The slow movements have intervals of a seventh or more within a lyrical context. The fast movements also contain intervals of sixths and sevenths combined with scalar passages within sets of sixteenth notes.

Thomé - Fantasie

Fantasie contains numerous chromatic runs within a tonal context. This solo gives the performer freedom to use rubato throughout the lyrical sections of the piece. The allegro sections feature a bouncy theme contrasted by chromatic triplet licks. The coda brings the entire piece together by juxtaposing largo and presto figures.

Tull - Three Bagatelles

Three Bagatelles is comprised of three short movements: Prelude, Improvisation, and Caprice. Prelude does not have a meter, allowing the performers liberty to determine timing and phrasing. Improvisation is slow and calls for a whisper mute. Caprice is in a quick 7/8 with some mixed meter in the middle section.

*Turrin - Caprice

Caprice alternates between sections of quick finger technique and flowing melodies. The technical sections incorporate syncopation and almost entirely stepwise. The lyrical sections move both below and above the staff and use a few larger intervals up to an octave. Parts available for trumpet in Bb or C.

*Turrin - Intrada

Intrada uses the Major 7th in multiple motives throughout the piece. It includes some rhythmic complexity, with syncopations and a few uncommon sixteenth note rhythms. It calls for both harmon and cup mute, alternating between muted and open sections.

Range: C# below the staff to C# above the staff (opt. D#)
